Tavola S.p.A. is an Italian consumer goods company founded in Milan in 1947. It operates with distributed, licensed and owned brands and has leadership positions in several categories. It is present in the following distribution channels: mass market (both supermarkets and drugstores), DIY, car accessories stores and petrol stations. In Europe, we’ve got Tavola Iberica Lda operating branch in Portugal and Spain. We are present in other European markets and in the rest of the World (the US, China, Mexico, Australia, …) with distributors.

HISTORY
At that time, Italy was just recovering from the Second World War. In this background, Enrico Tavola successfully ran a family business of import-export trading between Italy and the United States. The main business was the import and distribution of spare part of cars that were considered back then as luxury items.
Mr. Giancarlo Tavola, son of Enrico and currently President of the Company, obtained the exclusive distribution rights for ARBRE MAGIQUE® car air fresheners.
Tavola became not only a distributor but also manufacturer of ARBRE MAGIQUE®. As the iconic product quickly gained popularity and market leadership, Tavola SpA began to additionally produce and sell a complementary set of products dedicated to car cleaning and car care.
As an acknowledgment of Tavola S.p.A.’s successful car care experience and know-how, in 1982 the company became the exclusive distributor of STP® products, a well-established American brand of oil and fuel additives. In few times, thanks to the company’s network and expertise, STP® brand became the market leader in its category.
Mr. Gianpaolo Re, a businessman of great experience in leading multinational companies, joined Tavola S.p.A as Chief Executive Officer. He implemented a new company structure and mindset by establishing a specific company department devoted to the development of sales and items production for the modern Mass Market Channel. He pro-actively widen up Tavola products portfolio and expertise by establishing new brands acquisitions and distribution rights in the personal care and home care category.
Tavola S.p.A. further consolidated its market leading position and success in the personal care sector, by obtaining the Italian exclusive distribution and production rights of COPPERTONE®, the well-known American range of sunscreen products portrayed by the iconic image of a little girls playing at the beach with a dog.
The meeting in Switzerland between Mr. Gianpaolo Re and Mrs. Sylvia Bachmann marked a turning point in Tavola’s core business. By obtaining the universal exclusive distribution rights of ORPHEA® SALVALANA®, Tavola became a pioneer in terms of ecological innovation in the anti-moth market.
Tavola SpA enlarged its product portfolio by developing a new brand range of natural based insects repellent, ORPHEA® PERSONAL PROTECTION. In addition, the launch of PODOVIS® foot care brand consolidated the company’s personal care market share. In the same year, Tavola S.p.A. also launched a new line of household products MISTER MAGIC® that rapidly gained popularity thanks to its iconic OVETTO.
Tavola S.p.a. invested in the universal acquisition of BULLOCK® brand, the market leader of mechanical anti-theft devices.
Tavola S.p.A. launched ORPHEA® HOME PROTECTION: a unique line of seasonal insecticides with a vegetal origin formula. During the same year, the company got into the laundry care market by obtaining the national distribution for Italy of DR. BECKMANN® products.
The company further implemented its air freshener proficiency by launching in the home air care market the innovative IMMAGINE® brand, a line of fragrance diffusers that combine Italian design and high-quality perfumery. In the same period, the company launched a new range of products under the brand VITAMYA® with fruit cells contained in its special formulas.
In July, Tavola S.p.A. enlarged its personal care portfolio by acquiring the ownership of MY MASK® cosmetic brand and also the ownership of CARE FOR YOU® and CEROX® brands that have increased the company expertise and competence to the medical device sector.
